Welcome to Thuringia International School Weimar, now in our second decade of providing an international learning experience for children of expatriates living in Germany as well as host country nationals. We are an IBO World School, and offer the following programmes: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) - Early Primary through grade 5, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) - grades 6-10, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) - grades 11-12.

Philip Armstrong has worked in international education for more than two decades, including periods at Munich International School, Vienna International School, Zurich International School, the International School of Ulm/Neu Ulm, and also 9 years in Asia at Yokohama International School in Japan, Hiroshima International School in Japan, and Tianjin Rego International School in China.

Philip Armstrong is also a musician. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London where he studied composition and electronic music with Paul Patterson. He holds a Master of Arts degree in music composition from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he studied music composition with Peter Racine Fricker and computer music with JoAnn Kuchera Morin. He is very active as a composer and some of his music can be downloaded from Amazon.com. ThIS is a unique place for learning and growing.
