Director’s Welcome

Welcome to Thuringia International School, now in its second decade of providing an international learning experience to the children of internationally-mobile and globally-minded families. With high aspirations, an eye to the future, a welcoming community, and dedicated and caring teachers it is a privilege for us all to be part of ThIS.

Please visit our school. What you will find here is an amazing learning environment created by great teachers. They are recruited from all over the world and form a skilled, hard-working team who keep the learning and well-being of students as the primary focus. The quality of instruction focusses on making learning meaningful, nurturing individual talents, and developing the intellectual, social and personal development of our students.

We are an IBO World School, are authorised to offer the following programmes: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) - Early Primary through grade 5, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) - grades 6-10, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) - grades 11-12.
